Welcome to Synergy Project
My name is Melissa DeNoble and I am offering virtual and in-person (Waterloo Region), therapeutic appointments for adults-particularly those grappling with trauma, PTSD and women’s health issues including peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
I also offer clinical supervision for regulated social workers (RSW). I am informed by a nearly 25-year career, providing counselling, consultation and advocacy on behalf of marginalized communities-plus I bring my own lived experiences as a survivor of trauma, and as a woman navigating a complicated and underfunded healthcare system.
I’ve diligently pursued training-including menopause coaching, neurodiverse affirming care, intercultural fluency, Indigenous cultural awareness and anti-oppressive practice. I aim to provide resources, strategies and personalized action plans that enable you to reach and maintain, a place of peace.
For regulated social workers (RSW), the same comprehensive practical experience and lifelong learning that are the foundation of my therapeutic practice, also inform my clinical supervision, with the dual aims of helping you achieve your standard of care aspirations while complying with regulatory obligations.
Specialties and Expertise
Women’s Health and Wellness.
Navigating the various stages of womanhood, including peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause, can be a complex and challenging journey. As a therapist with expertise in women’s health issues, I provide compassionate support and guidance to help women cope with the physical, emotional, and psychological changes that accompany these transitions. Whether it’s managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, or insomnia, or addressing the deeper emotional aspects of this life phase, I work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized strategies for self-care and holistic well-being.
Healing Trauma and PTSD.
Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can deeply affect individuals, impacting their emotional, mental, and physical well-being. As a therapist specializing in trauma, I offer a safe and supportive environment for adults to explore and heal from their traumatic experiences. I will help you regain a sense of control and empowerment in their lives. My practice is informed by neuroscience (polyvagal), IFS (Internal family systems) and TIST (Trauma-Informed Stabilization Therapy) approaches.
“Women who are struggling with conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis, and those who are experiencing symptoms of peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause will find a place of security where they can find accurate information and support.“
