Welcome to Synergy Project
My name is Melissa DeNoble and I am offer both virtual and in-person (Waterloo Region), therapeutic services for adults-particularly those experiencing distressing symptoms of trauma, PTSD and women’s mental health issues. My practice focuses on exploring the relational, mental health and emotional impacts of such conditions as endometriosis, adenomyosis and PCOS while also addressing the profound changes associated with peri-menopause, menopause, and the aging process. If you identify as Neurodivergent, I provide specialized care to women identified with Autism, AuDHD, ADHD as well as those who are questioning their Neurodivergent identity.
I am a therapist who uses an integrated approach to therapy guided by best practice to help you reach your goals. I am committed to supporting you to create a personalized action plan to reclaim your internal resources, strengths and sense of purpose. Together we can work towards healing and understanding your unique experiences.
Clinical Supervision Services: With over 25 years of experience as a Registered Social Worker (RSW), I bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to supporting the growth and well-being of social work professionals. My career has spanned child protection, post-secondary education, and private practice, giving me a broad and grounded understanding of the diverse challenges RSWs navigate every day. I offer clinical supervision services rooted in an integrated approach, drawing on both top-down modalities — including CBT, CPT, CBT-I, DBT, ACT, and IFS — and bottom-up approaches such as Somatic Experiencing. My areas of specialization include women’s mental health, trauma-focused care, and neurodiversity. I am dedicated to creating a relational, reflective, and empowering supervisory space where clinicians can deepen their practice, strengthen their confidence, and reconnect with the heart of the work.
Specialties and Expertise
Women’s Health and Wellness.
Navigating the various stages of womanhood, including peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause, can be a complex and challenging journey. As a therapist with expertise in women’s mental health issues, I provide compassionate support and guidance to help you cope with the physical, emotional, and psychological changes that can accompany these transitions. It is my commitment to work collaboratively with you to develop strategies that align with the life that you envision. Together we will create a personalized approach that supports your goals and aspirations.
Healing Trauma and PTSD.
Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can deeply affect individuals, impacting their emotional, mental, and physical well-being. As a therapist specializing in trauma, I offer a safe and supportive environment for adults to explore and heal from their traumatic experiences. I will help you regain a sense of control and empowerment in their lives. My practice is informed by neuroscience (polyvagal), IFS (Internal family systems) and TIST (Trauma-Informed Stabilization Therapy) approaches.
Neurodivergent Affirming Care.
Neurodivergent affirming therapy is a therapeutic approach that recognizes and celebrates the unique neurological variations of individuals, such as Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, rather than viewing them as “disorders” to be fixed. This type of therapy emphasizes understanding and valuing a person’s individual experiences and perspectives, fostering an environment of acceptance and empowerment. My goal is to help you thrive as your authentic self, and provide support as you navigate systemic ableism. We would focus on your strengths, enhance coping strategies, and promoting self-advocacy. My therapeutic approach aims to provide support that aligns with your specific needs and fosters greater emotional well-being.
“Women who are struggling with conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis, and those who are experiencing symptoms of peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause will find a place of security where they can find accurate information and support.“
